Green juice is a great way to start your day. Since my diagnosis, I juice fresh organic vegetables daily and drink 16 oz every morning. It would be easier for us to list vegetables we don't juice rather than vegetables we do juice, lol. I juice just about anything. I however do not like Daikon, lettuce, Radishes or Swiss Chard in my juice.
The main juice I make though is made up of, kale or collard greens or beet greens, carrots, celery, beets, lemon (peel and all) and ginger. Those are the staples for me and then I use any other vegetables we find. I also like to use 1 green apple. That's pretty much the only fruit I use though. Fruit is high is sugar and will shoot up for glucose levels so we avoid fruit in our juice. Green apples are the lowest in sugar and so good for you. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. I've juiced butternut squash, green beans, snap peas, lettuce, cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, rutabaga, sweet potatoes...you name it I juice it.
I also drink Total Living Drink Greens by Kylea on days I do not juice fresh vegetables. Kylea is the best green drink out there. It has everything you need and then some and the taste is good. I just mix with water, ice and shake. I find it best ice cold.
