Here's the news everyone has been waiting for. Sorry I made you wait. I needed to hear it from the oncologist first.
Last Thursday, July 31 was my 12th chemo day. The last day of the 1st part of my treatment. Prior to starting the 2nd part of my chemo treatment I needed to get an Eco-cardiogram to make sure my heart hasn't been damaged from the drugs and an MRI of my chest to see how much the tumor has shrunk. So Monday, August 4, we went to get both of these done. Today, August 7, I met with the oncologist to start the 2nd part of the treatment and get the results of the ECO and MRI.
Are you ready? Hold on tight! When I was first diagnosed my tumor was 5cm big (the size of a lime) which I thought was pretty big. By the time we were done with all my testing and lung surgery and ready to start chemo, my tumor grew to 9-10 cm (see picture to have a better understanding of the size...a roll of cheap TP). After 12 chemo treatments of paclitaxel, hercepton and projeta every single Thursday (we never missed 1 week) we felt my tumor begin to shrink. and shrink more and more and by treatment #12 we couldn't tell what was breast tissue and what was tumor anymore and the reason for that......are you still ready.....the results from my MRI in medical terminology is....."NEAR COMPLETE RESPONSE" Yes "NEAR COMPLETE RESPONSE!!!" There is no sign of a tumor, no sign of lymphnodes affected and no new findings. The oncologist told me I am remarkable.
Thank you to Dr. Sorcinelli, Nurse Pamela and Dr. Noe for keeping me in the ring fighting. Thank you to my wonderful husband and I taking such good care of me to make sure we build my immunse system and keep me strong. We both spent endless hours researching how to heal me naturally and what will kick cancer in the tush. My positive mental state is keeping me strong to fight it off too. BUT MOST of the credit is to God. Because of all of our positive thoughts and prayers, our love and light, our hugs and laughs, he heard us loud and clear.
I am a miracle! My cancer diagnosis was Stage 3C with such a large tumor, with 4 lymphnodes affected and Triple positive. This is not the typical response 1/2 way through chemo treatment. Doctor's thought reducing my tumor to 5 cm with the whole treatment was near impossible and now there's no sign of it. I am a miracle! Whoever you believe in out there, that you talk to and pray to, he hears us all. Thank you for this and please don't stop now. Please, let's keep talking to him and praying to him. Thank you God!!!!
More good news. The results of my ECO-Cardiagram. 65% is considered perfect. The results from my ECO are 70% - better than perfect!! ❤
So today I started the 2nd part of treatment, 5 drugs versus 3. The 3 chemo drugs are NASTY. But I did well. My body took them well, so far. We'll keep doing what we're doing at home to keep my immune system strong and you all please keep sending my positive thoughts and prayers so God can hear us loud and clear. We all fighting together will cure me. He will CURE me.
Thank you again! Let's beat this cancer together!!
